Yellow Hibiscus

Walking along the path the other day I came across this flower bush. I loved the contrast of this yellow Hibiscus flower against the dark green leaves of the bush and how the red stamen was so pretty and bright. I did work with this photo a bit because the right side was fairly brightly lit due to background concrete. I used one of Brandy Murray’s Different Strokes papers and worked with the blending modes to soften the transition and eliminate bright distractions. I think it did the trick.

A bit further down the path I came across these little flowers. They’re only a few inches tall and this particular one was sunlit and golden.  It looked so happy 🙂

  3. Hibiscus is found as a tea. Am so glad to see it yellow as a flower.
